Pianist and composer
Born in 1984, Faraj Suleiman is a Palestinian pianist and composer hailed by his peers in the Arab world as one of the best. His first concert in France, in March 2019 at the Arab World Institute, was a huge success. His original material is influenced by Arab and Oriental culture, with its modal music, jazz, and tango.
Putting the piano at the centre of his work, Suleiman has composed for solo piano, quartets, piano with female singers, and piano with orchestras. Log In, his first album released in 2014 staked out the beginning of his musical path. He is the author of diverse works, like Three Steps, Mud, Opening of the Palestinian Museum, Love in the Cloud, Once upon a City, Love Without a Story, and most recently, Toy Box.
This musician trained in classical Arab music seeks to reach “Oriental ears” with his compositions.
