Adrian Stanciu is a leading organizational strategy consultant in Romania and adjoining countries with a small and very selective consulting practice. His work has touched dozens of organizations in the region, of different sizes and industries ranging from e-commerce to banking, from insurance to software development. His speciality field is organizational cultural change and management. His consulting work touches both the organizational and human capital side of the company and the business strategy side and, more importantly, the synergy between the two.
Adrian is also a partner in Human Synergistics Romania, an affiliate of Human Synergistics International, the leading research organization in the field of organizational culture, as well as a partner in Human Synergistics Hungary and Serbia. Adrian is also a founding member of the Erudio association, an organization dedicated to bringing creativity and expressivity in the field of leadership, and the organizer of the Erisma executive development program in Creative Leadership and the Emeritus program
of leadership philosophy.
Finally, Adrian is a partner, associated dean and visiting professor of the EMBA program of Maastricht School of Management in Bucharest, called Maastricht School of Management Romania, where he teaches Managing Cultural Diversity, Leadership and Change. He also teaches these subjects in business schools throughout the world, like Catolica University in Peru, or Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands. In his previous career, Adrian was a founding partner of Ascendis Consulting, the largest Romanian training firm, which he founded in January 2001 and exited in 2008 by selling to the other partners. During his 8 years as a trainer and managing partner of Ascendis, Adrian created and delivered hundreds of training programs that were attended by more than 5,000 middle managers of companies large and small from Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and many other countries. Some of his clients have included companies like IBM, Xerox, Orange, Raiffeisen Bank, Citibank, Allianz, Erste Bank, ING, and many local entrepreneurial companies.
Prior to being a consultant, his career included management positions such as Managing Director of Xerox Romania, Business Unit director of Xerox CEE and General Manager and owner of Arexim, a Romanian IT systems integrator company that he co-founded and
subsequently sold to Xerox Corp.
Adrian is also a restless entrepreneur. He started several ventures in his career, such as Kiwi Finance, a financial services brokerage he subsequently sold to Oresa Ventures or Arexim Line, a cable TV network that he sold to UPC. In the academic field, Adrian has graduated as a MSc in the Bucharest Technical University in 1985. He has taught various subjects in graduate business programs in the Bucharest Technical University, the National School of Political Studies, the Academy of Economic Studies as well as the Change Management course in the University of Ottawa, the Canadian-Romanian MBA and the Central European Business School and, currently, Maastricht School of Management in Romania.
Adrian is also a constant voice in the Romanian business press, with more than 60 articles published.
