Catherine Vacher

Computational biologist

Catherine Vacher is a computational biologist at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, based in Sydney. After graduating in physics at CentraleSupelec in Paris, she studied at the Pasteur Institute and received her PhD in Pharmacy at the University of Sydney, where she focused on childhood cancer and in particular neuroblastoma.

Catherine is working in the Cancer Genomics program of Garvan, where she studies the genetics of cancer and the impact of pathogens and viruses on human health.
