UNFINISHED is both a vibrant community as well as an experience in constant evolution, held together by shared core ethics and behavior guidelines. We ask all participants – speakers, attendees, staff & partners alike – to embrace the same code of conduct while embarking on the Unfinished journey.

Application process: it is impossible to purchase tickets to UNFINISHED. All attendees, including participants’ and partners’ guests, are accepted based on an application process, with a structured grading system, overseen by a dedicated team, strictly embracing the principle of full confidentiality.

Meals: sharing a meal is integral to the UNFINISHED experience. Thus, we strive to provide food, free of charge, to all UNFINISHED participants, from the Friday lunch until the Sunday lunch. It is expected of attendees to be cooperative with the logistical challenges of such a commitment and adapt as necessary.

Dress code: UNFINISHED encourages all its participants – speakers, attendees, staff & partners alike – to dress comfortably and in a casual manner, most suited for open conversations and for stepping out of our comfort zones.

Phones: UNFINISHED has very strict expectations regarding the use of phones during sessions and we reserve the right to remove participants whose use of phone shall be disruptive to the event.

Communications: being part of the UNFINISHED community means truly caring about the communications around it. The best way to make the most out of the UNFINISHED experience is, therefore, to download the application, as well as to accept the newsletter.

Transparency: wristbands and badges must be worn at all times during the UNFINISHED Festival.

Respect: we have a zero-tolerance for any kind of harassment, of any nature, be it oral, physical or psychological, sexual or otherwise.

Responsibility: compliance with Romanian law and with MNAR's (the National Museum of Art of Romania) integrity, as a national heritage building, is expected from all participants – speakers, attendees, staff & partners alike.

Humility: general humbleness, as well as the participant's comfort,  is of utmost importance for us and for the UNFINISHED experience. Therefore, no excessive soliciting of business, contact or attention from other attendees or speakers is expected.

We reserve the right to remove participants who do not comply with the proper application process, registration, security procedures or requirements of the UNFINISHED Code of Conduct hereby, outlined at any point during the event.

No participants may impersonate a different person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent their affiliation with a person or entity.

Participants may not aid in gaining an unauthorized person access to an event; this is grounds for removal.

Participants must not defame, abuse, harass, harm or threaten others, make any bigoted, hateful, or racially offensive statements.

Participants may not advocate illegal activity or discuss illegal activities with the intent to commit such illegal activities or cause injury or property damage to any person or entity.

Participants may not post or distribute any material that infringes and/or violates any right of a third party or any law or post or distribute any vulgar, obscene, discourteous, or indecent language or images.

Participants may not advertise or sell to or solicit others unreasonably.

Participants may not hand out, transmit or otherwise make available any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," or any other form of solicitation, except in those areas that are designated for such purpose.

Without limitation of the foregoing, UNFINISHED may, in its sole and absolute discretion, remove any participant from the event, without explanation, either before or during the event, if such participant engages in any unlawful, unauthorized, prohibited, improper, or unethical activities, or any other acts or omissions that UNFINISHED deems unworthy of that person’s participation in the UNFINISHED experience.
